What counts as an emergency call
Our standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Any call outside that window — a Tuesday night lockout, a Saturday afternoon, a holiday — is handled as after-hours emergency service and billed at a higher rate than our standard weekday pricing. We tell every caller the applicable rate before dispatching a technician so there's no surprise when the invoice arrives.
The most common after-hours calls we get are home and car lockouts, a broken key that snapped off in a lock, a business owner locked out before or after regular hours, and lock failures on vacation or rental properties discovered by guests arriving late in the evening.
What to do while you wait
If you're locked out of your car, move to a safe, well-lit area if possible, especially at night or near roadways. If a child or pet is locked in a hot vehicle, call 911 in addition to us, since heatstroke can set in within minutes regardless of how quickly a locksmith can arrive. If you're locked out of your home late at night, a neighbor's porch light or a well-lit spot near your door is a reasonable place to wait for a technician.
